    Nimrod Boys

Book released a couple of weeks ago.

Might be of interest to some...nothing startlingly new in it and for me its a level above what I wanted to read but I guess that stuff will never be written down and only talked about over beer in hushed tones.

Hope it answers some of the age old questions:
What's the role of the Air Engineer? - Ham and cheese if he's lucky.
What's the recipe for Honkers Stew?
Can we break into rations whilst we taxi out?
Can we put a pie in the oven for the groundcrew on taxi in on a cold winters night?

As an ex liney, (and Yorkshireman) I might be tempted to get the ISBN and order it through the Library

Or being a true tight arsed Tike you could go to the Help the Aged and buy for a quid and sell it on eBay.
Strangely enough I saw the latest edition of RAF 100 celebration going for a couple of beer chits. When I look inside the pages were roughly the same as earlier 75 years. At least mine smelt different with fags and beer stains. Ex-NLS Stores Kinloss 85-88

Nimrod AEW a plane that just keeps giving up on the tarmac boing boing boing. It was the only white elephant that got ground crew cheering when it took off as they wipe their brows.
