I can picture Her Majesty putting the MBE, OBE or Knighthoods back in the drawer ready for the next World Cup.

Best result in many a year, not quite OBE standard, even Sterling came alive.

    No complaints from this corner

  3. I expect that the postmortem will last a lot longer than this World Cup series.

Also, I suppose we can now look forward to the phrase "we were robbed", being uttered ad-nauseum.
It all started with nothing, then it exploded.

  4. Mrs Seed has just pointed out that it is currently on ITV+1 so, if anyone is actually bothered, perhaps it will be worthwhile to watch it again in case the result is different...!

Lot of promise shown by England during this World Cup; with more time and experience who knows where this team under Southgate's guidance will go?
Rimmer: I've no idea who you are, but boarding this vessel is an act of war, ergo we surrender! And as prisoners of war, I invoke the All Nations Agreement article number 39436175880932/B.

Kryten: 39436175880932/B? All nations attending the conference are only allocated one car parking space? Is that entirely relevant, sir? I mean, here we are in mortal danger and you're worried about the Chinese delegates bringing two cars.

I will admit it, I hate football; but I did watch the match and thought they played well. It just seemed that.Croatia were a little bit more aggressive, especially after they went 1-0 down. The England side can hold their heads high on their return to this country.

didn't expect them to get this far. Southgate is very humble good in front of the camera. 1000%better than some of the crud before him. Best manager since Bobby Robson. Don't know about where you live but here in Merseyside the sun as disappeared and its raining, seemed to coincide with England getting knocked out.

The football and weather was good while it lasted. Going to have to continue to get better Indoors.
