    The Home Office appears to have gone to a great deal of trouble to provide a handy 'aide memoire'. The Do's and Don'ts (page 24) is quite useful.

    Thing is I think he's deadly serious. I wonder how many went on to serve in the forces.

    When I was a bin lid living in AMQ's at a secret unit in Wiltshire often referred to as the "birthplace" of the Royal Air Force in the mid 70's there were two families in my street who's fathers had been 'Windrush' children. The RAF has a long tradition of people from the Commonwealth countries serving in the RAF wider and armed forces.. and long may that continue.

    I wonder what will happen if any dependants or even those who served are threatened with deportation.

    On another note how many of us could prove that we belong here by providing 4 bits of proof for each of the last 40 years. (I'm assuming we never got a passport)
