Britons who join Isis should never be allowed to return to UK, says Defence Secretary

Britons who have fought for Isis should never be allowed to come back to this country, the Defence Secretary has said.

Gavin Williamson said those who were intent on bringing "destruction, death and bloodshed" onto the streets of Britain were being "hunted down" and that threat "eliminated".

He told the Daily Mail: "A dead terrorist can't cause any harm to Britain."

Its not very often i agree with a Tory, but I do sort of agree with this...I'm not sure eliminating them on the streets of the UK is the way forward though....

As I understand it over 400 ex-ISIS fighters have already returned to the U.K, are there kill squads tracking them down as I type? Probably not. Our politicians talk a lot of hot air but thatís usually all it is.

A small tactical nuke over Raqqa would have sorted all this crap out for much less money.

Did I not read recently that St Jeremy recently averred that those returning should be made to feel "inclusive" and given council housing? Perhaps we should also consider pensions for their service lol!

They have committed the crimes in SYRIA and IRAQ an so they should be caught and returned back to face trial. There was an ex soldier who went and murdered two fellows in Iraq and was returned to face trial then jailed. In fact they could rename this island "Sieve" for the amount of returnees. No doubt they will be heroes to their respective communities and become successful leaders like the Irish did after peace process.

I think he means they will be hunted down on the battlefield. If British forces come up against them then it's goodnight Vienna for them.

I saw some bloke on TV last night who stated that the act of targeting specific named people on the 'battlefield' is actually illegal under International Law and ALL combatants must be given the opportunity to surrender rather than being killed.

I wonder which parts of International Law ISIS are adhering to.
