  1. Buying a Nintendo Switch in the States

My partners grandson is going to Texas in October with the Liverpool Anglican choir. I'm going to give him some spends and he said he's going to get a Nintendo Switch. It's cheaper but is it worth. Will he pay tax on return and what about voltage and charging it up et

It used to be that US gaming consoles and games run on a different firmware version to UK / European models (PAL version). If this is still true, then a console he buys over there won't be able to play any games he buys for it from over here - he'll only be able to use games bought in the US.

well in that case, it shouldn't be an issue. He'll just need to use a power converter (US to UK travel plug) to connect it to the mains.

  5. I think most modern tellys can handle both PAL and NTSC, mine certainly does anyway. Also, a quick look on the internet suggests that there is no region lock for games. I'm not sure about the power supply, it looks like a USB connection, official UK chargers are available online so maybe that's an option.
