I know Barkley didn't have the best game against the Tongans but BA has gone back to Farrell again, when will he realise that he's flogging a dead horse. I think Matt Stevens is really unlucky to miss out on a starting place as well, he's consistently out performed Vickery all tournament. I would also have gone with Chuter at hooker, not Regan.

The only weakness I see in the aussie side is the front row not being up to world class standards. Then again neither is the English one. England are seriously over matched in the back row and centres partnerships. Cant help but think its gonna be one way traffic.

Still, I'm not going to put myself through it so, I'm off diving!

Have to agree Chuter instead of Reagan deffo and risky putting Farrell in but I think he is playing better each game maybe its time he made a name for himself. The only way we can stand a chance of winning it is IMO is reducing the amount of errors, quicker recycling of the ball and punishing every Aussie mistake. Nothing fancy cause if it fails we will get trounced

I know Vickery should have a place owing to the fact he is captain but seriously, Matt Stevens has been one of Englands better performers so far.

Speaking as a Scotsman I really want to see the home nations do well and hope that BA can finally get it right.

Can't wait for the Scotland/ Argentina game. My heart goes with the Scots but my head says it's too close to call.

The only reason I can think of for putting Farrell in at 12 is because Ashton is worried about Barkley tackling, with Mortlock back fit for the Aussies Englands 10 and 12 are going to be facing a lot of crash ball off 1st phase possession.

Just means that whoever replaces him will have to be on the top of their game defensively. But whoever they decide on (I expect them to go for Barkley) they will provide more options in attack than Farrell would.
