Is the iPhone all cracked up to what it's supposed to be???.

It will cost £269 and is only available on the O2 network.

An 18-month contract will be required.

The monthly packages start from £35 - £55 !

You will certainly get no pay as you go option on the iPhone.

There is no 3G built into them, so dont expect rapid downloads when you leave a WiFi hotspot.

Apple have started issuing a software update that is disabling iPhones that have been unlocked by owners who wanted to use them on other networks in the states. This no doubt will apply when the phone is launched in the UK this November.

So say you buy the phone, have the minimum package of £35 a month, throw on top the 18 month contract, that's £899 excluding call charges!!!

Verdict : I'll stick with my Sony Erricson thank you vey much!.

It's just a big Ipod, it doesn't offer anything really new. I would reccomend either the new K850, or the updated N95 8gb insted. 5Mp cameras, video and music player's and it phones. I can't help thinking a touch sensitive screen is a BAD thing for an item which will live in trouser pockets and hand bags.....
I mean who are you phoning while you read the timetable scratching your nuts ?
Ladies, who is your lipstick calling as you ascend or descend a staircase or run for a bus or train ?

Who would have thought that Apple wouldnot have thought of that? Imagine paying all that for a phone that is dialled by lipstick!

It has the same functions as Mobile!! ie a lock

It has the same functions as Mobile!! ie a lockAnd everyone remembers to lock their keypad don't they ! Anyway all mobiles using either standard keylock or pin number can still dial 112, 911 and 999.

So what is the difference between that and a normal phone then? Still the same problem. Useless argument
