I've just got this whisper from a reliable source as well . I’m sure our supply personnel would be pleased to hear that there are plans afoot, to disband the trade within the RAF, and merge with the army QM. This would result in the members of the trade having to join the army if they want to keep their jobs. I personally cannot see any flaws in this plan, as it will allow us to become more integrated with our green brothers, making us leaner fitter and more readily deployable

Luckily I don't have to deal with them anymore....and you obviously never have done. If you think the RAF supply system is unwieldy, wait till you have to try to get anything from the army stores system.
There'll be none of that " you give me the "S" bit, and I'll bring back the "U/S" bit later ", and there would definitely be no asking the stackers to sort out your inventory when you've not been cntrolling it fully.

I'm more than aware of the flaws in the RAF system and if your "reliable source" is correct, I hope you enjoy playing with the Pongos!!:PDT_Xtremez_15:

Guess you are also special measure PT Shorts. Retire and give Station tailor a break.

Hopefully this is a fishing trip but my terms of service do not mean that i will HAVE to join the Army. I could choose to, but I for one will not!

That would be why numerous aircraft platforms are rolling the bulk of their spares forward from Army depots to MOBs to liberate stocks from the tender care of the Army. Having suffered numerous contacts with the former RAOC, now the RLC, believe me hang on to what you have. On a more positive note, everyone in blue would transfer with at least the rank of Major.

I know there are a few SAS wannabe Stackers on TSW etc (as there are within every trade); however, the vast majority are good lads & lasses & I'm sure they'd rather eat their own legs than join the fcuking Army!

I know I would! :PDT_Xtremez_42:

I think this thread is fantastic, however, it is factually inaccurate.

I think you'll find that, yes our trade is being made obsolete, but you have not heard the full story.

SengO 31 Sqn is the new Trade sponsor, and 31 sqn will take on all Supply issues. They must all be suitably qualified as they have been F*CKING micro managing our lot in the Deid for the past 6 weeks.
