I'd love to sadly I am teh only rugby player at the camp! Moreover, my gf has threatened to kill me if I hurt my knee again (rebuilt ACR). That said still doesnt stop me popping down teh road and turning out for the local 2s when I dont go see her.!

Good luck!

For those of us old enough to have played in the original BINBROOK BOMB, it has a lot of history and a few hazy memories. This is the 44th year and hopefully it will start to grow again so that it becomes the institution it used to be. I for one look forward to it every year, unfortunately I am unable to make it this year but it promises to be bigger and better than previous competitions held at Halton.

Good luck to all those playing/refereeing/coaching and hope you have a great day.

When you say "original Binbrook Bomb" is that the first ever, or when it was held at Binbrook ? OLD TIMER !!

very funny Doc.........not quite that old :-) although I did play at Binbrook a few times. Those halcyon days of misty mornings in the wilds of Lincolnshire, drinking into the early hours, waking up on the pan as lineys are steeping over you to bring the mighty Lightnings out for the day. Walking around to try and find your mates (and clothes) before getting into the old green petrol driven busses from MT and heading back down the A17 to reality.......Oh those days.....

No zimmer frame I'm afraid (although I could do one sometimes), and as for keeping up with play that's easy, I've got a whistle and the play comes back to me.:PDT_Xtremez_15:

As referees we always bring play back for the knock on that no-one else saw, either that or Off-side.........who knows the off side law in rugby?????

I once sent a law book to Stuart Barnes at Sky TV and received a lovely letter in return. It stated that he is employed for his exerience and expertise in the game of rugby, not to know the law book inside out and quote it!!!!!!

What a jolly time was had by all. started drinking at the airport which didn't feel like a good idea when the whistle blew for our first match !!! As all good teams we "threw" our pool matches to go into the shield and then got knocked out in the semi final with a very dubious touch judge decision !!! Some good rugby played by all teams though.
