PROBABLY THE BEST BRITISH/ CANADIAN boxer we have produced. Wouldnt tell him it was Tuesday even if it was Friday and he said "Its Tuesday today.
Wonder if a fight between him and the old ali ever could of happened
Who would have won?

Tyson at his peak would have given Ali a better fight. Shame his mentor died and he got taken over by that pr1ck Don King.

Lewis in his prime wouldn't have beaten Ali in his prime. Ali fought big blokes and had a number of ways of beating them - dancing away, rope a dope etc etc. Whilst Lewis is certainly a great heavyweight, he is not in the class of Ali. Tyson wouldn't have beaten Ali either.
Tyson at his peak wouldn't have touched a peak Ali. He always had trouble with good movers and he was a bully, as was proved in his later fights. As for Ali against Lewis, well there wasn't anyone approaching Lewis' size back then who was any where near Lewis' class. Bear in mind Ali was at his peak in the 60s and most heavyweights weighed between 14 1/2 and 15 1/2 stone. Ali himself was considered a big heavyweight back then. Factor in other things, nutrition, training methods etc. and it's impossible to say. The only heavy who would have definitely beaten Lewis was a prime Larry Holmes, IMO.

Fair shout, even Sonny Liston was only 15st 8lb when he fought Ali the second time. Holmes was very, very good, and is probably the most underrated heavyweight ever. It's always the same with boxing - you rarely get 2 fighters competing at their peak.

But thats because there wasn't a lot of quality contenders around throughout Holmes time at the top, its one of those unfortunate things that happens in sport.
