Something one of my family showed me when my monitor went boom a while ago, but heres something that people might find intresting...

Freecycle. It's one of those "one mans rubbish is anothers treasure" sites. Everything that changes hands is free, because it's usually a case of someone needs the space, or is moving house.

So far I've picked up a 15" TFT free, and today when my printer packed up, had a quick look to find a brand new canon printer for the cost of the petrol collecting it.

You do have to sift through quite a bit of pap but there are some real gems in there!

Just remember to use a 'disposable' email address to sign up with as you'll keep getting messages from them - Took over 6 months for one of my mates to get it to stop when he decided to stop using it.

Yeah, sorry should have mentioned that, however if you use outlook or thunderbird you can set a filter so it dissapears into it's own folder.
