I often found from my experience (limited to 13 yrs), if I wanted an accurate, direct answer, I would pose the question to the person who knows the answer - isn't that what Tossford expects you to do...?

No thought not::P: , newly promoted 2 banana possibly but not an SAC.

Yes, he was pre-empting the fact that Mech TS may be short of Instructors so he took a gaggle of guys on in a fact finding mission to Jocko land to see if anybody wanted to try instructing.

On the first day alone he and his team had quite a few people ringing PMC to enquire about instructing vacancies. He has the training needs of the students at heart, and he is trying to prevent a shortage of instructors that PMC is ignoring, So before you try to criticizing anybody for improving training look at it long term, some are trying harder than others.

As far as posting is concerned, that is the usual rumour mill.

Must be getting slow in my old age. Are you really saying that an SAC(T) who shows interest and aptitude for instructor duties will get promoted before others who haven't expressed an interest regardless of that persons trade talents? Must say that a damn big decision to make. Doubt that the sqn WO could swing that past PMA without some heavy back up. However we shall wait and see. Sceptic mode selected ON over this issue. :PDT_Xtremez_14:

That I can go for trying to hard sell the post of instructor to some one who is going to be promoted ANYWAY rather than promoting someone BECAUSE they want be an instructor as SCJ suggests.
