A must for all those gripes against the "taxi/bus/lorry" drivers guys and gals in the pointy end of them thar flyin machines.

Here is one from a few years ago.

While on bolthole at Lossie from Kinloss. 94-95??

Jet off soaring skywards, tearing through the vectors for about 6 hours. Comes back to Lossie landing on the short runway. Or so were told it was shorter than the other one, dont know if that's true. This female pilot (Ostrich was her nickname) landed at 4G. After shutdown she reset the accelerometer to try and cover up her misdermeanor. Oops should have remembered about the fatigue meter love. Even her crew thought they were about to buy the farm. Basically she said it wasn't to bad a landing and nothing was wrong.
Ehem...excuse me dearie but you have just caused us about a week and a hlaf work. Engines oot, 4A tanks off, undercarrige and wheel changes X10 and other things as well.

CHEERS. Usually the crews buy a slab or to to say sorry, not this one!!!

Goes to show you, never fly with a lumpy jumper in the left hand seat when:-

1. "The Painters Are In"!!!!
2. Just been dumped.
3. Hated by her own crew.
4. Hated by the Groundcrew.
5. The day has the ending "day".:PDT_Xtremez_42:

Having witnessed one of Ostrich's landings, I can certainly vouch for their severity. I was loading a bomb bay at the time, heard a jet coming in rather fast, looked up and thought the crew were all goners.....! Thankfully she aborted the landing, took off again and came back round. Still had a heavy landing on the second attempt. Never mind defence cuts, she could reduce the kipper fleet all by herself.

Why Ostrich? Why, a fat bird that can't fly, of course!!
