Well, my fellow TG1 spanner monkeys, what have ye to say about the current state of the cross dressing courses?
I'm doing my Sootie to Rigger just now, been chopped from 6 weeks to 4 weeks, 4 days and 6 periods, with free, compulsory, all-inclusive PT. Don't expect any early stacks, especially on a Friday, as the Chief in the 1239 course office (Freddie Mercury - if you've seen him, you'll understand) is a bit of a sod.
The Rigger to Sootie is down to 3 weeks, and no PT (*******s). However, for those of you who've been away from Cosford for only a short while, the lovely Suzy still does the T-bar at Mech TS :)
So please, share and enjoy your recent Cosford experiences......

Oh great!
You mean to say 5 weeks after I've left the RAF they have cross dressing courses available?
Bugger!
Could have done that for resettlement had I known!
As for the Cosford experience, drove down the M54 yesterday and it's still there!

I remember that B*****rd, he never let us go before 5 on a Friday he thought it was funny and said it was for our own good as all the traffic would be gone before we left. My mate's at Mech TS just now tell's me this geezer is acting FS. I pity anyone who p**sess him off now. Anyway fellow Tg1 Spanner monkey enjoy your remaining time cross dressing and I wish you luck.::/:

We are all waiting here for you on your return from Jock Land. The Bosses have got the x's on the carpet in dayglo, I can't think why.
My mate Freddie ((Freddie Mercury - if you've seen him, you'll understand) is a bit of a sod), is also awaiting your return to training on to a new 1239 course.::/:
All the best, SEE YOU MONDAY 08.30

Thank Christ that's over and done with......
No longer singing up job cards as a 34, now I'm at the exalted heights of signing up as a 23!!!
And to be fair, I can see Freddies perspective in all of this. He has his job to do, and we only want early stacks :) If any of you muppets ever get there on a cross dressing course, say hi to Suzy in the tea bar :D

Amazing how 20 years ago I couldn't be dual trade cos I'm colour blind - and now it's ok? And how can it take 3 weeks to teach a rigger engines? Riggers will still be riggers and sooties will be sooties in everyway other than by name! Hence the legacy title attached to the new trade name!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!::P:

20 years ago loads of things weren't OK that are now:PDT_Xtremez_31:
But you're right, 3 weeks doesn't turn a rigpig into a sumpie, it turns him/her into a rigger who's had their brains fried by PowerPoint with pictures of engine stuff on it :PDT_Xtremez_25:

Good luck being a rigpig! If you ever get to be used as one!
And 20 years ago lots of things were ok that aren't now!

I found my sootie to rigpig course almost useful. After 21 years in the raf and having a PPL, i always wondered what the sticky out bits on a plane were, and what they did !!!
Enjoyed the hackin and bashig though.
By the way, dont fall in to the trap of thinking civi companies will think ya brill cause your a raf xdresser, they will laugh you outa the door!
Chocks away, mines a G & T!
