Allowances Question

One for the resident Shineys. I have heard of an allowance that enables a 25% Single Householder Discount on Council Tax.

Me and the wife married Nov 2005 and have lived in MQ's since she is a full time student at Uni but finishes next month. My question is was I eligible for the discount and if so can I backdate it?

If your wife is a full time student then you are eligible for the single householder discount. As for backdating it I am not so sure, but I suspect the usual rule applies, i.e., backdating up to 3 years can be authorised at unit (OC PMS) level, further back than that approval would have to be gained from JPAC PACC (through OC PMS/PSF).
