Ok - remember the days when you bought an album, listened to it from start to finish, played it so much you had to fill in the gaps with black crayon, and admired the artwork for months??
The concept albums that told their story.........the immediately obvious single tracks that were consequently released as such, and you still bought them.....
Now - what would you list as your all time favourite albums?
A few on my list..... each was special at the time and still holds a place in my affections........
G&R - Appetite For Destruction
Pink Floyd - The Wall
Jeff Wayne - War of the Worlds
The Jam - Setting Sons
and, of course - life changing album - Thunder - Backstreet Symphony
and I am sure more will come to mind as time goes on.......:PDT_Xtremez_35:

Not quite a seminal classic, but I think it will stand the test of time...
The Killers: Hut Fuss.
still play it over and over - which says a lot considering how many modern albums I buy.
And I think 'Whatever People Say i am, That's what I'm Not' by the Arctic Monkeys is in a similar league.

Fantastic tune. It's just a shame the change musical direction before writing more like it.
The S&M version of Nothing Else Matters is about as good as it gets too.

I wish they'd record it in the studio and put it onto a future album. I read that the riff was originally dreamed up by Hetfield and Cliff Burton years ago, but they were never happy about writing the song until it was recorded live.

Stereophonics - Word gets around
Stereophonics - Performance and cocktails
Styx - caught in the act (Live)
Thunder - Laughing On Judgement Day.
This next one I owe to Tommy Vance, Fluff Freeman and Paul Jones at Red Dragon Cardiff. It took me ten years to find it, finally bought it off a guy in Cincinatti over the net. For me, it was worth the wait ! The only (small) complaint..... it could have been longer. T-ride on wiki (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/T-Ride) More T-ride (http://www.ssmt-reviews.com/db/searchrev.php?artistID=1150&showReview=true)
T-ride - T-ride (If you have never heard them try and find "Back door Romeo" or "Heroes and Villians")
And of course anything by Rush. Current faves are Roll the Bones and Hold your fire.
Also struck by the new track "Far cry" that a top lady played for me earlier today. They are back Penfold and "Snakes and Arrows" is going to be awesome mate ! :PDT_Xtremez_14:

Can anyone explain to me how this album can be crowned the greatest of all time??? Yes i accept it is a bloody good album but surely there are far better albums by far better bands (as have been listed already on here) that would deserve this crown.
