Been to Morrisons today.
Found a new German Premium Pils. "Eichbaum".
It's 4.8%, 500ml bottle, and a full German flavour. Absolutely gorgeous.
The price............................................. ..
Just 0.69p per bottle.
Going back termorrah to get a shed full.

Sounds like a good excuse for some sensible, adult binge drinking...........lol!.
Morrisons did a promo on Fursty Ferret down my way last year. 89p a bottle!.
The shelfs were cleared in no time then the price went to £1.89 ::/:
I find that ordering direct from the brewer is cheaper these days. I have an account with the Badger Brewery and their ParcelForce shipping is free.

I tried that with my favorite, Theakstons Old Peculier.
The brewery charge £26.95 for 12 bottles = £2.25 each.
Asda charge £5.49 for 4 bottles = £1.37 each.
I think it's swings and roundabouts. There will always be good deals, if you have the time to source them.

Ive only found one pub in a 20 mile radius that sells Old Peculier on tap. A nice boozer in the yachting village of Hamble (Hants) where the show Howards Way was set.
I do like a pint of the Peculier.

Round about 1980, when I was at a south yorkshire airbase, a carload of us used to go down to scampers for the occaisional weekend.
We would go into Lincoln Saturday lunchtime, and end up in a pub called the Potstill. They had the Peculier one on draught. Had many happy times in there.
Went back a couple of years ago, no Peculier.
I always scour Asda's shelves...Think Ive tasted most of the ales...like the 6-7%...
