So it would appear that even though we have airports, trains, electricity and gas piped here when it comes to Argos the Westcountry is still in the dark ages.
They have no Nintendo Wii's in any of their stores at all in the Westcountry.
Is this true of the rest of the UK?
I don't want to order one online. You can't guarantee when you'll get it for starters! I want to go into a shop, pay for one and leave with it tucked under my arm!
My brother has one and it is great fun so I'm just going to stamp my feet in a tantrum stylee until someone stocks them down this way!!!

Does anyone else have a Wii? If so, what games are good on it? I have played the sports one and been on the wario wares. Any reccomendations for when I finally get one?

It seems that the UK stores are still unable to keep up with demand for the Wii.
It might be an idea to speak to your local 'GAME' store. When I spoke to the Swindon one, they said that I was unnable to reserve one in advance, but if I phoned when they had a delivery they would put one asside for me. They usually have an idea of when they might get delivery. I phoned them the day after my visit, they had stock and they put one aside for me to collect that day.

It might be worth considering buying off the internet from one of the major sellers GAME, HMV, Argos etc.
I have a link on my home computer to a site that tracks all these type of sites and alerts you when one of them has stock. I'm at work right now but will post it when I get home.

On the subject of games to get, my kids love the Sonic the Hedgehog game and Zelda. Rayman's Raging Rabits (or something like that) is good fun, but I found it got hard quite fast, but that might just be old age.

This may sound a bit crazy but try a different store, comet, currys, pc world,
just phone round all the electrical shops in your area. But dont think of doing anything with your right arm the day after you buy one mine ached for about 2 days after playing baseball and bowling on wii sports.

Here's the link for the online stock checker (only works for internet sale though)

There is a link on the top of the page for a website that you can leave open that constantly polls all the sellers and pops up an alert when one of them has stock.
I checked just now and they were all out of stock, but the alert system does work.

Thanks boys n girls.
I'll try woolies later today.
Like I said, I would rather have the console in my hand and know I have got what I have paid for rather than wait for delivery from the net!!

Just resurrecting an old thread, have a look at wiihaveaproblem.com (http://www.wiihaveaproblem.com/) and think twice before getting one!

The site had me in stitches though!

Thats so true. I got my Wii in the end and I'm not suprised at all about the mishaps and injuries!
On the 1st day of having mine I put a big scuff mark across one of the controller lenses by either hitting the lampshade, sofa arm or coffee table!!
Thank god for the saver strap, if it didn't have one my tv would be smashed in by now..................:PDT_Xtremez_30:
