May be the first on the Goat to congratulate the mighty St Helens on their 18-14 victory over the Brisbane Broncos last night. Good effort lads. cracking game.

So much for the mighty saints being a spent force. Even with an Aussie Ref who fails to see Broncos forward passes. Good to see Scully back.:PDT_Xtremez_28:

Scully was awesome , Cunningham turned the game for me in the second half. I believe town was mad last night, wish I could of been there.

Off Topic You'd have been in bed by 10 just like last night old man :PDT_Xtremez_15: Off Topic
It's a meaningless trophy anyway. The only ones that count are the challenge cup, Grand final and league winners.
And yes, I know Saints won all 3 last season......

Well done Saints a British club wins again.
So fellow rugby league followers why do British clubs win the world club challenge more often than not yet the damn convicts win the tests against GB. Surely if the stronger league wins the world club challenge the that should translate to test rugby. Lots of issues here.
Is it because the world club challenge is played out of season for the aussies.
Pacific island players in super league?
Ageing aussies in super league?
Limit the numbers of overseas players in each super league team (catalan excepted).
Dunno the answer but well done Saints.:PDT_Xtremez_30:

In answer to you question, all of the above. Doesn't help that this country accepts perpetual loosers. Just look at the reaction in Australia when the Kiwiws won the Tri-Nations 2 years ago, the locals nearly didn't let the Aussie team back in the country.
Well done Saints, have to say I didn't have any faith in a Brit victory this year. Top game all round and good to see scully back in action. Thank god we have already played Saints at Knowsley Road this year (and won!). Wouldn't fancy playing there now they have their confidence back!!!!

By the way, the match last night and tonights match, Bradford -v- Wigan, provided far more value the the Dire offering from the other code today. Is it just me or is this the worst Six Nations ever? Thank god for Super League to keep me sain!

Tonights match was entertaining. I thought Wigan might pull off a cheeky victory at one point.....
I've got to agree with Tin Basher on limiting overseas players. It's spoiling our international teams chances of ever wining the Tri Nations. The young lads in the acadamies don't seem to get a look in. What was it Steevo said tonight - 9 Overseas players on Wigans team and 8 on Bradfords or something like that
