I'm thinking of selling a "with profits" life insurance endowment policy.
Has anyone else sold one and which companies would you recommend (or more importantly not recommend!!). I've had a look at the web sites for AAP and Bestpriceendowment.com and they look like much of a muchness to be honest.

It depends if you have long to run on the policy if there is only a few years left then leave it. Alternatively ask the company how much the policy is worth on surrender as some of these companies will not touch the policies anyway due to poor returns when they attempt to sell them on.

Were you sold them incorrectly?
If so, you could get compensation. I downloaded the standard letter from which? & got 7,500 GBP compensation on top of the surrender value - well above what anybody would offer me on the market.

The policy matures in 2030! I spoke to the company and they told me (they have to by law apparently!) I'd get more selling it.
I don't want to hold on to it as I'm emigrating and would have to keep a UK bank account etc etc....
