After a thrilling start to Super League XII (well for some clubs anyway), who do you think will walk away with the honours this year and who will be for the drop?

Personally, despite Saint's shock defeat at home to Quins RL, I think that they are still a safe bet for the Grand Final. As far as the drop goes, I think Wakefield have got a rough ride ahead of them.

Being neither a Saints nor a Huddersfield fan i'm just wondering how much 'International Referee of the year' Ashley Kline was bunged to let Saints win that match as he did sh1te by Huddersfield.....

The other thing that has annoyed me is the fact that Catalans WILL finish bottom again but another club gets stitched up because a Garlic Eating Surrender Monkey Team can't cope with Super League.....

As for the drop - Hull KR
Minor Premiership - Leeds
Grand Final Winners - Wigan

Saints and Bulls for the grand final. As for the surrender monkeys it just proves that the system of promotion/relegation is required otherwise the teams at the bottom of the league will just give up as they will feel safe

You can't even beat London or Wakefield. Are you sure you'll be in the Grand Final.....

I would like to see the Quins do well, even if it's just to shut the Northerners up. Whilst Super League is an exciting and frivilous past time: I can't help but feel ever so slightly sorry for them :PDT_Xtremez_03:

It is a well known southern fact that all personages north of the Watford Gap, are somewhat slower than their southern cousins and there-fore are only able to understand simple rules, hence a game where running in a forward motion and bashing into people seems to be the national past time.

Come on the Globe Trotters.

Where did I put me Pims:PDT_Xtremez_31:

Promotion and relegation should be the norm despite what Steveo has to say. What's the point of say (Picks team at random) Leigh Centurions trying to improve themselves when there is not the reward of promotion. It just becomes a closed shop. Wigan tried all sorts of backstage dealing to ensure continued super league status when they flirted with the drop last year although they didn't need it at the end. It smacks of the old poofballl league and re-election of failing clubs.

Bottom - Catalan though it won't matter
For the drop Wakefield or Hull KR
Minor prems - Bradford
Grand final winners - Wigan
Surprise package to make the play offs and maybe lose the grand final - Harlequins RL

To be honest I think Steevo is a bit of a tool. I can't help but notice he's spending less time in front of the camera's this season (so far). Eddie Hemmings is just carrying him. Give his job to Phil Clarke instead.

On the promotion /relegation side. Finish bottom, go down. Finish top, go up.....

Being a big Hull FC fan I am starting to wonder what has gone with the team. They have only bought a few players and the squad is virtually the same but they don't seem to be at the races yet. Just wondering if not playing many friendlies pre season has left them a bit slow out of the blocks.

Come on you 'ull

Maybe you guys just stood still over the winter while others have moved on. Possibility of resting on last years laurels? Don't know how many pre-season friendlies you had but Quins only had 2.

We only had 2 as well neither of them against super league teams, so maybe we are a bit ring rusty. By the way thanks for beating HKR it takes a bit of the pressure off the rovers fans taking the pi$$.

No problem. Clearly we'll have to do HKR a favour when we visit you in July. Wouldn't want to come between two clubs that show so much love for each other!!!:PDT_Xtremez_15:

I just have to say how good we are playing at the mo, when super league started all my league mates were saying "u'll be lucky to win 2 games" or "your the wipping boys" how they are eating humble pie now
yes i know its early days but, we are playing the "big 4" in a row i.e wigan leeds warrington and saints (of which my other half is a fan of) we've played two, won 2 and warrington will not be looking foeward to playing us after the CC last year.
one more thing where are HULL FC in the league see u's on the 9th at the KC:PDT_Xtremez_15:

Mid 80's, residing in Plymouth in 'Glorious Devon' there were actually 4 City fans on the station (so there was quality banter with the Argyle fans). My sister would regularly send me a consignment of 'Sports Greens' which would be avidly read from cover to cover.

One day i hear Pete muttering.. "they should be bloody done under the Trade Descriptions Act"... on enquiring further he shows me a advert on the back of the latest issue......

"RUGBY FOOTBALL AT THE BOULEVARD"

"That'll be the first time ever !!!" were his last words on the subject

Bumped up seeing as we are at the business end of the season. As a Pie Eater, I'm a happy bunny tonight having finally turned over Stains for the first time in almost 3 years.

Not as cracking as the Bradford v Wigan game last night though!

Not seen a game like that since the 1985 cup final.

Wigan didn't win that game, Bradford switched off in the second half and lost it. McNamara took his strike players off to give them a rest ready for the winner of the Hull v Huddersfield game. He thought the game was wrapped up after the 1st 40. It just shows that you can never discount the pie eaters but without Trent Barrett they're nothing.

I think it'll be a Leeds v Wigan final. Hull haven't got the men to do it.....
