I've got two brats in Gateway Primary at the mo and been there since March last year.

I must say the school seems decent enough and the headmistress is very approachable.

My eldest has ended up in Burford Comp. By all accounts its meant to be one of the best in England. She only managed to get it because Carterton Comp was full, so we dont need to fork out for the bus journey.

Being a scaley brat and having lived in Brize for 19 of my 24 years, I can say Gateway school is a good choice. Tends to be the one most service personnel go for, the Stn Cdr is the governer, and, (at least it was when my ole man went to the original Gulf War) the teachers are quite understanding of the kids feelings when daddies going away for a few months.

Went to Carterton Community College for secondary school, but Burford is probably the best bet. CCC gave me a good education, but Burford always seemed a bit more "posh".

This page gives you all the primary schools in the area along with the Ofsted scores, distance from the centre of carterton and a link to all the different schools websites...I used this process myself for finding the right school for Fuego the younger this year (same age as yours)...Something that surprised me was that Lincs ed. auth wanted a copy of my posting notice as my application was late (I posted last week) enclosed with the paperwork...This struck me as odd as I can't be the first person posted into Waddo at this time of year (or later)!!!

March 31st seems to be an important cut-off date for school applicatins in this country:

Afet a brief glimpse at the results the St John of Evangelist school seems pretty good...
