Talking of new recruit standards has anyone heard of the " legend " Leandro Roberts ? He attempted to join the RAF 9 years ago now and i believe he got to trade training after nearly a year trying to get through basic. He then tried several diferent trades before being let go. He was a complete legend and total nightmare , people must have heard of him. Leandro isms included shaving using soap instead of foam , washing head to toe in clearasil and taking around 10 attempts to pass his GSK exam . He would go to breakfast in civvies with his beret on because he was told to wear it at all times , he would practise marching on his own and get out of step. After falling asleep countless number of times in lessons he was told to stand on his chair to stop it happening again , well it didnt !! How the lad got though the CIO i will never know , he could barely speak english ! But despite all that he was a genuinely nice guy and very popular with the lads , other people must remember him.
