Would it work? The pongoes do it (6 reg AAC) so I wonder if it would work in the RAF?

From what I've seen out here, our AMMs are at least the equal of an AAC Corporal.

Not convinced about part time aircraft techies, although you could argue some of us are part time anyway!!:PDT_Xtremez_31::PDT_Xtremez_31:

When you say FLMs, you mean flight line mechanics? Last time I looked, I though they were techies (although they are now called AMMs).

Or have I completely missed your point?

I do mean flight line mechanics, who are (were) mechanics, not technicians. No Q courses, no rects, no promotion beyond SAC, etc, etc. Dunno what AMM's do as I was out by then.

The point is, could FLM duties could be carried out by auggies? I personally don't see why not but todays modern air force types might not agree...
