Now that David Tennant has announced he will be quiting as Dr Who after filming the specials for 2009/10 who (pun intended) should fill his mighty boots ?

How about Russell Brand, no only joking, Marc Warren (from the Hustle) if he sorts his puffy hair out

Josie Lawrence but if it's a female shouldn't it be "Nurse Who"....

Andrew Sachs.
It's about time we had a senior Time Lord using his brains, not gadgetry. Anyone remember William Hartnell , the first Dr Who?

As a bonus, it might ease his feelings after Woss & Brand.

William Hartnell - the best Dr Who ever!
How about Billy Connolly - he'd fit the bill; Mad, comical but the best bit; he'd actually believe it! He'd probably do it wearing his old welding glasses all the time!

Chad Norman

I might get into trouble for this one!

How about Gary Glitter?

It might restrict some of the 'sets' and we might have to keep track on how old his 'assistants' are but just watch them viewing figures!

Or failing the pedo, how about Ozzi Osbourne?

Tongue in cheek clown. :PDT_Xtremez_15:

Alan Davies would suit the role or possible David Morrissey who is playing a future version of The Doctor in the forthcoming Christmas special allegedly entitled "The Next Doctor"

Patrick Stewart from RSC to Doctor Who, exactly the reverse journey to one David Tennant made/is making but not a woman. That's not meant to be sexist it just wouldn't seem right after all these years having a lady Doctor Who.

Unless of course the girl assistant and the doctor got to spend some special time together for the cameras.

Mary Tamm played a lady time lord...... many moons ago.

However, Dr Who lore says he gets younger each time he regenerates.

I've got a bit of spare time if they want a new face, weekends and evenings only though, although I'd probably the one to replace the next one as I'm a bit busy at work at the moment.

It's a shame John Sims has already played a bad guy as he would have been a good one.

Heard Russell Brands got a window of opportunity at the moment, quite an odd ball character I believe, ideal for Dr Who (Who doesn't have/normally use a mobile phone by the way).
