Up for Auction to raise money for Pint 'n' Pizza

Since I ve had no takers, not just here but work and ebay.

I have decided to offer it up for auction.

The highest bidder will get a high spec motherboard and RAM.

And all money received will goto the Pint and Pizza appeal.



I think the best way to do this would be as a closed bid done via PM, then the winning bidder pays direct the to e-goat fund.

All bids to be in by 31st October.

What on earth is meant by "crossfire" ?
What does it require by way of a CPU?

(sorry, but my knowlege of these things is a bit thin.)

Crossfire = It will use ATI Graphics cards and not SLI (Nvidia).

HERE (http://processormatch.intel.com/CompDB/SearchResult.aspx?Boardname=dx48bt2) is a link for all compatible CPU's all 60 of them, so if you have at least duel core ( 775 socket ) it will fit.

I did say the auction thing that I had attempted to run would close on/around the 31st Oct.

I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who placed a bid, after all the money is going to a fantastic cause.

I have been pimping the Motherboard and RAM all around the bazaars to drum up as much interest as possible, Including giving everyone I know a link to this thread. This has resulted in a work mate giving me an offer of £160 so that he can build a new computer by xmas.

So I am pleased to say that the E-Goat charity pot will be will boosted very soon.
