Lots of rumours doing the rounds at the moment all to do with going civvy. no help from the BOSS when tackled, only said no one should get short toured. Does anyone know whats going on? the cleaner doesn't know either, before you ask!

All but when civvie for aircraft techies a while ago :PDT_Xtremez_38: .

Modern day RAF, no decent overseas postings, volunteer for duties list a load of ****e, etc. etc.

Oh well, it was good whilst it lasted!

Have been told that Supply is losing nearly 60 posts (dunno if that's all of them) end of March 2010.

Has anyone got any more info on certain areas going civy? ie who's bidding and when it's likely to kick in? I'm out next year and looking to settle in Cyprus so could suit, done 2 tours over there, one as a scaley brat and one on 84 sqn (disbanded the RAF groundcrew side in 2003). Any info gratefully received. (BJW have pm'd but no reply as of yet)

More than SERCO, they have been asking around at a large base in oxfordshire for people to go over and fill the posts about this time next year.

1. NOT going Army, they are due to lose as many posts (more pro rata) that the RAF if this goes ahead.

The Army own most of the AT, and usually have priority over it, we just maintain and fly it for them.
