Isn't it strange that Bliar always manages to find an RAF jet to take him and frog face on their free holidays.:PDT_Xtremez_21:

He's already got the message. Why rely on a knackered old RAF fleet when you can click your fingers and get a BA 777? Can't remember the last time he went overseas coutesy of the RAF.

The purse strings monster strikes again.
We can't hope to move an army (albeit a small army) around with so few frames. Taskings are bound to suffer... I see Bliar was trying to save face by using Ryanair the other day.

Well I was out in the TELIC area earlier this year and knew this was brewing - nothing was done though - when will the 'Scramble egg brigade' finally say NO to Blair and Bush and stop this over stretch

In another thread the talk was of getting rid of the RAF. So Why not send some ships to pick them up. It would be like a cruise. Oh sorry not enough of them either any more.

Mr Branson could get the chance of a publicity stunt soon, and finally get his hands on BZZ at the same time. I see a cunning business idea brewing.

I have been in hot sandy places and been delayed on return on almost every visit, true the longest was a couple of days but that was due to unserviceability.. If as reported in several papers troops will stay over a month longer and might not return for christmas. This gives plenty of time to organise charters even if they are only from Cyprus and the aircraft with defensive aids suites do shuttles between Akrotiri and theatre. Sad to say that if things like this are allowed to happen, with so much prior knowledge it demonstrates the total lack of regard the powers that be have for the soldiers/sailors/airmen on the ground doing their dirty work. Not to mention the families they have left behind.
