Ops wallah
You beat me to the start of a new thread. I posted a link to this on another thread previously.
Just to add to wallahs request, please add your names and make others aware of this petition.

Follow the link, if you haven't already, just to see what a great and decisive man Des Browne is. The simple answer is to stop dragging their heels and just fit the foam.
Yeah I Know its PPRUNE...BUT its worth while - We all fly on these aircraft and its not just the fixed wing stuff eventually the MoD are going to have to look at the rotaries .
Whose safety are you ensuring? Yours, mates, a loved one? Don’t let the Hilton 22 crew die in vein and let’s do something to ensure that the chances of this are reduced.

Er guys, just a thought here please don't flame me as I'm just thinking aloud..
I recall not so long back a couple of our NCOs got carpeted for signing a petition to get something changed (within the mob). As serving personnel the powers that be determined that their actions could be construed as mutiny. I know that sounds real dramatic and OTT and I'm not being too specific but its just something I remember happening. In the end they withdrew their names and were given a verbal slapping, thats about all.
Can anyone verify if this is the case (i.e. forbidding servicemen from petitioning against the crown), I'm quite happy to be proven wrong.
Thanks.
