You should know by now MM that the cops will always go after the easiest target. In the past, I have been amused by kids on pavements selling their bric-a-brac to raise cash for something and generally bought something whether I wanted it or not. Put a smile on their wee faces nevertheless. Whilst probably legally correct, those idiot PC's should be able to differentiate between the harmless activities of kids and the DVD pirate at the car boot sale. Apparently not eh? :PDT_Xtremez_21:

I'd have thought they'd have preferred to see the kids trying to raise money in an innocent way rather than just heading out and stealing what they want, as far too many do these days, at least they were trying to earn it and not something for nothing.

When I was little we had to do chores around the house to earn our pocket money, and when we wanted to raise extra, we'd run errands for neighbours, walk dogs, wash cars ect.

It's sad to see it all stamped out

Therin lies the crux. Unable to differentiate between the 'Spirit of the Law' and the 'Letter of the Law'. :S

I agree with you but, surely common sense is within us all, what ever our qualification (officers excluded).

Can I just say the article does say PCSO (Police community support officer). Please do not confuse these disorganised, grabastic pieces of amphibian sh1t for proper coppers. For me PCSO's are not worth the wages, ditch themand lets have more proper bobbies on the street.
