I was hoping that an example might have been made of Amir "look at me i won a silver" Khan when he actually run a bloke over and broke his leg but as normal for "celebs" they get away with it. A paltry £1000 fine (loose change for him) and 6 months driving ban....whooppee sh1t........any normal joe public and i bet it would not have been the same.

Have seen and read the said thread but i think he got off more because of the colour of his skin and because they classed him as "schizophrenic" .....but he is apparently safe to be out on our streets....yeah right.

The good old British Justice system stinks. I won't repeat what i said in another thread but you can always rely on the system to shi't on the small guy.

The way that tart Britney Spears is being dealt with at the minute is p1$$ing me off. She gets let off with criminal damage after she pays off the 3rd party and now they are looking at her for driving without a correct licence. Either she had one or she didn't and if not then she certainly shouldn't be bloody driving now. Joe public would have got a fine, a ban and who knows what else. Just cos she's a celeb and a bit of a sad case she gets away with it..........and don't even get me satrted on that skinny cnut Pete Doherty.::/:

The jury at Bolton Crown Court agreed with Khan's argument that his driving was careless but not dangerous.
Surely, if you mow some poor fooker down and break his leg, then your driving is dangerous rather than careless. Red lights are there for a reason, and going through one is certainly dangerous in my eyes.
Surely, if you mow some poor fooker down and break his leg, then your driving is dangerous rather than careless. Red lights are there for a reason, and going through one is certainly dangerous in my eyes.
Khan claimed in Court:
" If I had slammed on my brakes at the light then I would have ended up in the middle of the junction, where I would have caused a problem to other drivers."
So he was speeding 17 mph over the limit on that particular road when he approached the lights turning red.
But he then went on to claim his actions had not amounted to dangerous driving and that he had not jumped a red light at the junction.
But!
Witness Katherine Brierley had previously told the court she was waiting at the red traffic lights on March 2 last year when Khan overtook her and hit the pedestrian.
She said: "I saw a sudden flash, a silver BMW. It went through a red light in the right-turn-only lane."
Nice on Khan, driving like a complete tw@t on one of Bolton's most heavily pedestrianised roads. I hope the vicitim takes action for compensation.
