Why is it 90 degrees the wrong way? Surely it should be aligned as the stable belt is; blue uppermost?

Is it not to mimic the same emblem used on the tail-fins of our aircraft?

Its the same as all the other TRF flashes already out there - nothing to do with the stable belt / tail fin..joke.
